As people that love great marketing
tactics, we're not sure that even the most inventive corporate gifts and cards
can ever create any real impact amongst the sea of hampers, "personalised"
gifts and "Thanks for your business this year" greeting cards set to swamp the
desk as the big day approaches. As people that love Christmas, we think we can
do something better.
This year, with your blessing,
we're handing the Now Christmas card budget over to UNICEF. We've done some
maths and it's difficult to see the case against here.
For about the same cost as sending just one card to just one customer or
prospect, UNICEF could buy one wool blanket to protect a child from cold during
an emergency. A First Aid kit containing items such as gloves, adhesive,
bandages and gauze costs about the same as sending less than ten cards.
Supplying 10 families with all the equipment they need to make fresh drinking
water comes in at less than it costs the average business to send out 50 cards.
In short, if we don't send you a
card or a gift this year, we don't really think you'll notice. For the kid's
helped by UNICEF, the story could be very different.
So let us say here and now, without any support from any glittering printed
matter whatsoever, if you did business with us in 2009, we thank you. Over the
past 12 months, Now's client base has grown and diversified. We've advanced in
areas we've always been strong in like tech, security, mobile and telecoms and
expanded in exciting new markets like education, gaming, sports and health.
Thanks for making the marketing and communications work we do here different
every day, and from all of us: Season's greetings and have a great 2011! |

Supporting our campaign costs
nothing and could make a real difference to the kids that UNICEF is helping
right now. Every card we don't send to a contact on our databases means $3 to UNICEF.
Complete the letter to

to put your name to our
campaign and make sure you red card the Now corporate Card this Christmas. |

According to
Friends of the Earth we will send around a billion Christmas
cards this year. This represents a huge amount of paper, print
resources and delivery costs, just to wind up in the bin after
Twelfth Night.
