HEADLINE: Augmented reality in
education
Contribution deadline: Now to end
Confirmed readership for this story so far:

Abstract: It's the education
technology to watch according to this year's "Horizon Report (download),"
but as UK schools and colleges tighten the budgeting belts in the
new age of austerity, just where are the opportunities to explore the
potential of augmented reality in education really going to come
from?
We're looking for: UK/European based
trials and case studies similar to those underway at the
University of New Mexico now; comment from serious games
developers who can realistically estimate how and when augmented
reality is likely to gain traction in European educational
institutions; and learning and development vendors and consultants
with an ear to the ground who can provide a real sense of the
market's appetite for what's being touted as the next big thing in
tech-based education.
In the
real media world, competition is tough and only the best sound bites survive.
Considering the following points as you craft your comment will increase your
chances of success dramatically:
Validate the comments you make with real customer examples whenever you can.
Be
specific and avoid weasel words at all costs: Claims of "massive"
savings, "multi-million" investments or "phenomenal" growth
will not raise the journalist's eyebrow, but they may raise the journalist's
blood pressure.
Be a
thought leader for your industry first; a commentator for your company second.
Be
concise
Wouldn’t it be good if the media
company you worked with actually guaranteed to deliver coverage
valued higher than the monthly fees you paid them?
